Before we carry out any treatment, we will ask you to book an initial consultation with one of our aesthetic doctors. Here we will take a full medical history and, if required, carry out a Visia computerised skin analysis that allows us to examine magnified 3D images of your face.

We will also carry out a visual assessment of your skin and talk to you about your needs, hopes and expectations. Having gathered all this valuable information, we will then have a better understanding of which treatment you need to achieve the best outcome.

It may be that you come to us with a specific treatment in mind however, if on assessment, we feel an alternative might be more appropriate then we’ll let you know. Whatever the case, we will very much consider your individual needs and give you an honest assessment, including realistic expectations of the outcomes of your treatment.

There are several treatments to choose from depending on your skin concerns. Skin Fusion Therapy treats fine lines and wrinkles, pore size, sun damage, hyperpigmentation, excessive sebum production, dull and dehydrated skin.

No – just here at Waterhouse Young. We have created WY Skin Fusion Therapy to extend the range of bespoke, medically-proven and results-driven treatments we offer our patients.

During Skin Fusion Therapy, we use a small treatment head which contains 20 tiny 24K gold-plated, titanium needles. These super fine needles gently penetrate your skin, causing a series of tiny wounds which trigger your natural healing process, encouraging collagen and elastin production.

At the same time, the needles deliver your personalised skincare cocktail – a powerful combination of nutrients and antioxidants – deep into the epidermal / dermal junction. A small, spiral groove on the outside of the needle allows your bespoke cocktail of ingredients to easily flow deep down into the skin to hydrate, brighten and clarify the tone and texture of your skin.

There is no need for a topical anaesthetic and you should only experience minimal discomfort. The needles used are very fine – the treatment head contains 20 titanium 24K gold plated needles of 0.13mm diameter and, as they are so thin, they make a tiny trauma but without the pain.

Skin Fusion treatments take about 30 minutes. Typically, you will be with us for an hour or less.

You will notice a little redness and slight swelling in the treated area – the result of the small wounds made by the micro-needling which then trigger the healing process. This is normal and subsides within a day or two. Very rarely, a few small bruises may appear.

Just one treatment delivers results. You may therefore have a treatment as a one-off or have a course of treatments every two to four weeks (or three months, for Pore Perfector, as it contains Botox™), for optimal results. The benefits of the ingredients increase over time so with multiple visits you will come to notice each treatment is even more effective than the last.

You will notice the benefits of your treatment – the tightening effects of micro-needling, for example – within a few days. The results will last for up to three months.
