SPF in Winter – do I need to apply it?

One thing you need to remember this week? UVB rays – the shorter wave rays which burn – may be weaker in winter / early spring BUT glare from snow and even buildings can intensify them by up to 80%. And we probably don’t even need to mention UVA (ageing) rays which are constant throughout the year. Find a broad-spectrum sunscreen with a texture you really like so you’re more likely to apply it religiously (and we all need to!).

We like Heliocare 360’s range – and they’ve launched an A-R Emulsion (anti-redness) SPF. Perfect if you suffer from rosacea, facial redness or sensitivity.
