What is skin flooding?

What is ‘skin flooding’ and why does this skincare trend appeal?

Skin flooding – essentially, intense hydration – is a process which involves layering products without allowing the last layer to dry, enabling skincare to penetrate more deeply, nourish more intensely and lock moisture into the skin. It sounds appealing for those with dry, dehydrated, itchy skin (or menopausal skin) however it’s not something we’d necessarily advocate – as with any change to your skincare routine, we’d recommend you speak to a skincare professional to ascertain what will yield best results for you personally.

Visia skin analysis is a brilliant tool if you’re looking to really fine tune what your skin needs. Feel free to get in touch with questions – we’ll be happy to help.
