Timing is key when it comes to your skin treatments. You’ll likely be busy with gift shopping, finishing up projects before the holiday, and attending festive celebrations, so scheduling multiple treatments may feel tricky. However, we’ve outline a countdown for you so that all you need do is make your bookings and enjoy some time just for you.

One of the many benefits of dermal fillers is that you will see the results immediately after your treatment, and there is minimal downtime. You can also expect the effects to last six to nine months, so if your skin needs a boost in time for those seasonal parties that will also last well into the New Year, dermal fillers are an excellent choice.

In the hands of our skilled aesthetic doctors, dermal fillers significantly reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, and can also be used to add definition to the cheeks, nose, lips and jawline. Although you should allow time for any swelling to subside to see the full outcome, our hyaluronic acid fillers are placed expertly to give you a beautiful, natural result; a more youthful version of yourself. As dermal fillers are gradually broken down and absorbed by the body, most people return for another treatment before the visible results have gone.

Similar to dermal fillers, Profhilo is made from pure hyaluronic acid, increasing collagen and elastin production to bring a youthful glow. Profhilo stimulates and improves skin quality and texture, reducing fine lines and wrinkles to create a remodelling effect. However unlike dermal fillers, Profhilo is instead used to restore hydration to the skin rather than to change the facial structure. This means Profhilo is the perfect treatment at this time of year as we need all the hydration we can get. The most common areas to treat are the face, neck and hands. You’ll see the effects within a few days, with very minimal downtime. We always advise that there may be a bump at the injection sites for up to 24 hours as this is the time is takes for the product to be absorbed. We recommend two treatments 2 to 4 weeks apart for best results.

Two weeks to Christmas

You may have heard Botox anti-wrinkle treatments referred to as a ‘lunchtime’ procedure, since (depending on the size of the treatment area) the procedure usually takes less than 30 minutes.

Of course, we’ll never rush your treatment, but this, as well as the minimal downtime, makes Botox an ideal procedure to have two weeks before Christmas. Anti-wrinkle treatments using Botox notably reduce or even completely remove the appearance of the fine lines and wrinkles, and can be used to treat typical problem areas such as forehead & frown lines and crow’s feet.

It can also be used in the hands of skilled injectors to treat problems such as teeth grinding or excessive sweating. As with all of our injectable treatments, we take a ‘less is more’ approach to achieve natural, balanced results, meaning Botox is a great treatment to opt for in the run up to Christmas whilst you don’t want to be restricted by any downtime.

One week to Christamas

For instant results the day before a party, or in the last week before Christmas, HydraFacial and Intraceuticals Infusion are fantastic treatments to choose for a ‘red carpet’ effect.

Intraceuticals Infusion is a gentle and relaxing treatment that will instantly rejuvenate, hydrate and replenish your skin, using hyperbaric pressurised oxygen to infuse the skin with hyaluronic acid and antioxidant serums. Treatment is finished with Intraceuticals hydrating gels and binding creams to seal in the moisture and prolong the results. A typical Intraceuticals Infusion takes around 45 minutes, giving you instantly firmer, beautifully hydrated skin.
